I did not enjoy this course. It was already mentioned in the Fundamentals of Graphic Design course, and Michael Worthington — the instructor there — taught it much better than Gail Swanlund, who leads this one. Even though the Fundamentals course was just introductory, it was more effective and far more useful. I didn’t find anything beneficial in this course, and I had to grit my teeth and endure the frustration throughout. First of all, the instructor provided almost no valuable information. She simply read through the material without offering any fresh insights or anything truly helpful. Second, many of the provided links — especially the readings in Module 2 — were broken, often leading to 404 Not Found errors, which was incredibly irritating. Third, I couldn’t understand the purpose of the assignments. They were too difficult, lacked clear objectives, and felt pointless — just a waste of time. While the course claimed “there’s no right or wrong,” my peers rated my work unfairly, with shallow and uninformative feedback, effected other people's scores. The assignment guidelines themselves were vague and confusing. Fourth, the course felt like it was designed for children, yet the assignments were on a completely different level — overly complex and inconsistent with the tone of the lessons. In short, I did not like this course, "Introduction to Imagemaking". It is the weakest course in the entire Graphic Design Specialization. If it weren’t required to complete the certificate, I swear I would have unenrolled immediately.

To be honest, this course was one of the most challenging online experiences I've encountered, not due to its difficulty, but because of its repetitive and monotonous nature. I don't mean to sound impolite, but I found the professor's delivery to be somewhat monotone. Additionally, it seemed that the course content could have been more succinctly conveyed in just a few videos. I was also hoping for more up-to-date information on graphic design, as the course predominantly covered early 2000s to 2017 topics.

I have already enrolled and paid for this course but I am not able to take classes. I had to take a break due to some reasons and it was not mentioned anywhere that I had to complete the course in a particular period of time. My money is really important to me and also I really wanted to take the classes. I would request coursera to look into this problem. I really want to continue this course.

Most of the time, the instructions are not clear, and people submit stolen work. They dont review the work correctly. I would not recommend taking this course. It is redundant and very messy. I deplore the fact that most of the students are lazy to make their own work and dont bring constructive comments during the assignments.

I thought this course would be more fun and interesting but I find it VERY repetitive with the Fundamentals of Graphic Design. If you buy the package it kind of seems like I wasted $79 dollars on a repetitive and monotone professor and course. I would not recommend this course within the specialization.

Very disappointed that after 14 days I still didn't get the answer from mentors regarding the problem I had with peer review. For 45 euros per month there should be more than just pre recorded videos.

Nothing in this class is explained, I learned more from Youtube than this course
