This course features Coursera Coach!
A smarter way to learn with interactive, real-time conversations that help you test your knowledge, challenge assumptions, and deepen your understanding as you progress through the course. Learn the essential techniques to design printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Eagle software, from beginner to advanced techniques. You will gain hands-on experience creating single-sided and double-sided PCBs, adding copper pour for improved performance, and designing with surface-mount devices (SMD). By the end of this course, you'll be equipped to create professional PCB layouts ready for manufacturing. The course begins with a deep dive into Eagle software installation, the basics of PCB design, and component libraries. As you progress, you’ll learn to create your first schematic, place components effectively, and build your first PCB. Along the way, you'll also cover the creation of custom library components, use of autorouting features, and learn about the complexities of multi-layer and double-sided PCB designs. As you reach the final modules, you will explore creating real-world projects, such as microcontroller-based designs, and learn the process of exporting Gerber files and generating Bill of Materials for manufacturing. With multiple hands-on tutorials and additional solution videos, you’ll have the confidence to bring your PCB designs to life. This course is designed for beginners and intermediate learners, particularly those interested in hardware design or electronics. No prior PCB design experience is required, but basic knowledge of electronics is recommended.
