This course is outside my expertise so I appreciated the depth of the information which was well presented. I am going to take the rest of the Agroforestry courses.

Integrating trees with crops in agroforestry systems can create diverse and stable ecosystems that support a wide range of species, enhance ecosystem services (like pollination and pest control), and preserve genetic diversity. By reducing the impact of monoculture farming, agroforestry helps protect natural habitats, supports wildlife populations, and promotes biodiversity at the landscape level. This contributes to the overall health and resilience of the agricultural system and the environment. So, Thank you very much.

Taking Agroforestry I: Principles and Practices gave me the clarity and confidence to bring a long-standing vision to life. Using the principles I learned, I successfully transformed a half-acre of land into a thriving fruit orchard with over 20 diverse fruit varieties. The course helped me understand not only the importance of biodiversity and spatial arrangement, but also how to manage soil health, optimize microclimates, and plan for long-term sustainability.
